Female-Founded Montclair Real Estate Agency Now Has 16 Agents

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Together, they’ve sold nearly $137 million of real estate in the past two years. That’s the cumulative total of the 16 agents at West of Hudson Realty Group (WOHRG), a new, woman-owned and founded real estate agency that opened its doors in Montclair on Bellevue Avenue last week.

According to a joint statement from the WOHRG, the firm got its start when five local agents left Keller Williams and teamed up to create their own boutique agency: Maria Vecchione, Susan Horowitz, Irina Grobman, Leslie Kunkin and Robin Seidon.

• Maria Vecchione: After a 12-year span in film and television production, Vecchione began her real estate career in 2000. Her passion for communication has built long-lasting relationships over the years while strengthening the foundation for her continued success and growth in the business. Vecchione has achieved industry recognition for her work in real estate and is thrilled to be starting a new chapter of her career at West of Hudson Realty.
• Susan Horowitz: Beginning a real estate career in 2010, Horowitz was originally a television producer and development executive. Her ability to sell, negotiate and oversee all aspects of a deal led her to success the real estate industry. She is proud of her reputation of going above and beyond for all clients.
• Irina Grobman: Irina initially developed a passion for real estate from obsessively searching for her own perfect house. So, as a realtor, her main focus has been to help buyers and sellers navigate the challenges and pitfalls of buying or selling a home. However, she recently shifted her focus to reflect her experience as a television producer and is now overseeing the business end of a team of agents she runs with Susan Horowitz.
• Leslie Kunkin: Following a successful legal career at a large litigation firm in Manhattan, Kunkin left the law to focus on her family. In 2008, relying on her skills in analysis and negotiation, she began her career in real estate and hasn’t looked back since. A top producer from year one, earning industry recognition throughout her career, she combines her professional skills with a love for the towns she serves and first hand understanding of what it’s like to make the move from NYC to the suburbs.
• Robin Seidon: From a successful career in television production, Seidon produced a wide variety of programs for many networks including Comedy Central to HBO and the Disney Channel. She earned her real estate license in 2002 and found that the skills she used in production: communication, organization and negotiation were invaluable to propel her in the real estate industry. Her goal at West of Hudson is to make the buying/selling experience as stress free as possible and build long lasting relationships with her clients.
