Montclair Offers Flu Shots and Health Clinics

The Montclair Health Department is offering a series of community health clinics in October, as well as loads of opportunities to get a flu shot. Here they are:

How to Read Food Labels (workshop): 
October 16, 12:00 noon
A registered dietician will show us what all those numbers mean on a food label. She will also discuss how to avoid certain values such as sugar, salt and calories. Free cholesterol finger stick screening. Appointments Required.Please call 973-509-4969 to register.

Women’s Health Clinic 
October 18, 9:30 a.m. 
PAP Smear, Pelvic Exam, Breast Exam conducted by a Certified Nurse Midwife. Blood Pressure, Anemia Testing and Health Education. 
$20.00 ages under 60; 60 years of age and over FREE! Appointments Required. Please call 973-509-4974 to register.

Respiratory Screening 
October 19, 9:30:–11:30 a.m. 
A simple spirometry test administered by a registered respiratory tech can determine the presence of obstructive and/or restricted lung disease. The cost is $5. Appointment Required. Please call 973-509-4974 to register.

Brown-bag Pharmacy 
October 26, 9:30–11:30 a.m. 
Bring a list of your current medications, both prescriptions and over-the-counter and have them analyzed by a pharmacist to make sure you don't have any conflicts. Ask any questions you have. FREE! Appointment Required. Please call 973-509-4969 to register.
