Funeral Set for Teen Killed in Broughton Ave. Crash
Christina Lembo, 16, will be laid to rest Friday in Bloomfield

Christina Lembo, the 16-year-old Bloomfield High School junior killed in a tragic car accident last weekend, will be laid to rest Friday.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield, with her wake Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at O'Boyle Funeral Home. She will be buried in Glendale Cemetery.

on Broughton Avenue late last Saturday night. She was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Four others, including both drivers and two passengers in each car, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

On Sunday night,
Mourners, many of whom Lembo's soccer teammates who wore her number, No. 3, painted on their faces, left flowers and handwritten notes on the curb, still littered with broken glass and plastic from the fatal crash.
Lembo's loss was also felt at Belleville High School, where students wore No. 3 on their hands and faces this week in her honor.
As of Wednesday, no arrests or charges have been filed, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
