May In Montclair: Got Gloves? Let The Planting Begin

Soon so many hands will be busy planting tulip and daffodil bulbs all over town!

Anticipating our 42nd season, May in Montclair tulip and daffodil bulbs have been ordered and are arriving the last week of October to be sorted and delivered to hundreds of volunteers to plant around Montclair. The bulbs are distributed free of cost to schools, park conservancies, houses of worship, and in the business districts with new generations of volunteers continuing our Township tradition.

Donations and volunteer support are appreciated even more important this year than ever before. After forty years, the bulbs will be funded SOLELY by tulip donations. While you can still list your May events free of charge at www.mayinmontclair.org, the Calendar of Events book will not be published. We encourage all residents and businesses who supported that book through advertising to look for ways to look for ways to contribute directly to tulip donations and be recognized on our website and through our social media. Donations made in memory of someone you love or someone who loved Montclair are easy to make and as a special tribute that will come alive next spring.

Springtime events all around town continue to be showcased in the MIM website Calendar of Events. Opening day ceremonies will take place in Watchung Plaza on May 1st. The school children’s musical performance will continue as a beautiful community celebration to kick off May in Montclair. Save the date and help us make a beautiful May in Montclair 2020 all around town!!
