Halloween Power Outage In Glen Ridge Affects Trick-Or-Treating
Some Glen Ridge residents may want to find another way to get rid of their candy this Halloween.

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — If you were looking forward to handing out candy to trick-or-treaters on Ridgewood and Hawthorne avenues in Glen Ridge, you may want to find another way to get rid of it this Halloween, authorities say.
A power outage in Glen Ridge on Thursday prompted an advisory from police, asking local trick-or-treaters to avoid a section of town that evening.
According to the Glen Ridge Police Department:

“The Glen Ridge Police Department advises Trick or Treaters to avoid Ridgewood Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue between Carteret Street and Maolis Avenue after dark due to an ongoing power outage. PSE&G is on location attempting to restore power and their work may continue after dark.”
