Housing Project Proposed At Hahne’s Lot In Montclair: Report

A 74-unit housing development has been proposed for the old Hahne's Department Store parking lot in Montclair, a report says.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A 74-unit housing development has been proposed for the former Hahne’s Department Store parking lot on Church Street in Montclair as part of a long-running redevelopment plan, a report says.

Over the past decades, several ideas have been floated for the site, which was used by Hahne’s until the store closed in 1989. The space is currently a privately run parking lot, Montclair Local reported. (Read the full article here)

The council may amend the Hahne’s Redevelopment Plan on Nov. 27 to allow for housing at the site, Montclair Local reported.
