Temperatures are dropping in Montclair, as the state gears up for “damaging” tropical-storm-force gusts, snow and the coldest temperatures New Jersey has faced in 11 years.

In Montclair, temperatures will plummet with wind chill values sinking to 5 below this weekend. About half an inch of snow could also accumulate Saturday with as many as three additional inches falling Saturday night.

The National Weather Service has also issued a High Wind Watch for Montclair from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon for “strong, damaging winds.” According to the alert, “strong winds may down tree limbs and power lines and make driving high profile vehicles difficult, especially on elevated roadways and bridges.”
