Jazz House Kids Benefit Returns To Montclair

All proceeds from Inside the Jazz Note will go toward the Jazz House Kids.

Jazz music will rock the halls of Montclair University when Jazz House Kids' acclaimed benefit arrives to boast the talents of 26 high school students and some special guests.

Inside the Jazz Note will take place Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and feature the talents of Grammy-winning artists Al Jarreau and David Sanborn.

The two guests will be backed up by the Jazz House Big Band directed by Julius Tolentino.

“The Jazz House Big Band is the pinnacle of our ensemble program and these talented high school students are on their way toward becoming accomplished artists who create their own swing and style,” said Melissa Walker, founder of Jazz House Kids.

The high-school students participating in Jazz House Kids are selected via a series of auditions that take place throughout the year.

All proceeds from the event will go toward funding the Jazz House.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.jazzhousekids.org or by phone by calling  973-744-2273. Prices are $35 and $55 for general admission seats, with a VIP pass priced at $125.
