“Our Mathnasium of Montclair TriMathlon contest was a big success with students and parents alike this year, demonstrating clearly that math can be fun,” said Angela de la Rosa, owner of the Mathnasium of Montclair’s franchise. “The fact that the children raised money for local schools just for participating added a level of community service to the contest. Everyone who participated should be proud of what they’ve accomplished for their schools, their community, and themselves.”

“Shea Goel, Grade 3 Winner additionally scored a perfect score entering him into the Grand Prize tie breaker for the National Winner, said de la Rosa. “60 students across the country participated and although Shea was unsuccessful we are all proud of his accomplishments. ”

“MFEE is grateful for the opportunity to partner with a local business while also promoting the love of math,” said Lois Whipple, Executive Director, MFEE.

All participants received fun goody bags and certificates of participation. Participants who registered by September 30 received a free downloadable Math Plinko game from Lakeshore. Grand Prize winners will receive Rubik’s prize packages and Mathnasium scholarships.
