MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pair of men tried to steal used cooking oil from a Montclair restaurant last week, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, an employee of Urban Chicken on Glenridge Avenue told officers he found two men trying to take the oil from drums on the premises on May 20.

One of the men allegedly became “confrontational” when questioned. The men got into a white van with New York license plates and fled the scene, police said.
