Montclair Animal Shelter Seeks 'Homes Fur the Holidays'

The Montclair Animal Shelter volunteers and staff have kicked off an unprecedented area-wide campaign -- Home Fur the Holidays. The program is designed to spotlight the shelter’s cats that are up for adoption. Following the great success with shelter dog adoption events, during the colder weather volunteers and staff will be holding weekly adoption drives at Petco in Essex Green Shopping Center, 495 Prospect Avenue, West Orange and will spotlight the shelter’s fabulous felines.

Come out to meet some wonderful cats at the Petco store from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Black Friday, November 28 and the following Saturdays: December 6, December 13 and December 20.

In the season of giving, will you give your home to a shelter cat? Meyer, Moon Unit, Frances Bean, Doone and many other cuddly kitties look forward to having a Home Fur the Holidays!

If you can’t make it to an adoption event at the West Orange Petco, visit the Montclair Animal Shelter at 77 North Willow Street, Montclair during the following hours:

• Monday -- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Tuesday -- 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday -- 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
• Thursday -- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Friday -- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Saturday -- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Sunday -- 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
