MONTCLAIR, NJ — A Montclair bakery has come up with a mouthwatering tribute to a beloved beverage from the world of Harry Potter: “Butterbeer Doughnuts.”
During the month of July – author J.K. Rowling and her iconic character Harry Potter share a July 31 birthday – the Montclair Bread Company is offering fans of the best-selling fantasy series a taste of the eclectic.
The caramel-colored doughnuts are designed to conjure images of “butterbeer,” a beverage described as tasting “a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch” in the Harry Potter books.

Butterbeer Doughnuts will be on the menu all month. There is a limit of four per customer, the bakery stated.
The Montclair Bread Company – helmed by owner and head baker Rachel Crampsey – has a penchant for the strange-but-delicious. Previous creations to come out of their kitchen include the emoji-shaped “Everybody Poops” doughnut, which was released after President Donald Trump won the 2016 election, as well as flavors such as "Fruity Pebbles," "Banoffee," "Sweet Potato Casserole" and "Maple Bacon."
