Montclair Bike Bonanza Touts Cycle Safety
Bicycle ride rodeo coming to Montclair State University on Saturday.
A free program this weekend will help bicyclists learn best practices for hitting busy local roads this summer.
Bike & Walk Montclair and Meadowlink have partnered with Montclair State University, to bring local cyclists the “Bicycle Ride Rodeo” and “Learn To Ride Program.”
“Riders will learn how to scan for traffic behind them, maneuver through an obstacle course, recognize hazards and signal their intentions to drivers and fellow riders,” according to a flyer for the program. “If you can already balance and ride a bike while tracing a figure 8, you are likely ready for the Ride Rodeo! The school Ride Rodeo will include stations for bike check, helmet fitting and tire pressure. Adults welcome too!”
