Montclair Coronavirus Cases Up Nearly 7 Percent In 1 Week

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair's coronavirus case count continues to rise, according to statistics released Friday.
Essex County released its latest case and death totals on Jan. 15, including data for Montclair. The county noted that its daily report may not match state or municipal totals (here's why).
Montclair has seen 1,349 cumulative COVID-19 cases, a 6.89 percent increase since last week. There have been 60 deaths linked to the disease in the township, which has 38,564 residents, according to the most recent estimate from the U.S. Census.
