Montclair Ends ‘State Of Emergency’ After Winter Storm
Montclair's "state of emergency" is over. Here's what it means for local vehicle owners.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair has ended its storm-related state of emergency, officials said Thursday morning.
The Office of Emergency Management Coordinator rescinded the state of emergency declared on Jan. 31, just before a winter storm dumped a layer of snow across Essex County.
“Vehicle owners without permits will have until 6:30 p.m. [Thursday] to remove their vehicles from municipal parking lots and decks,” Montclair town officials said. “The 6:30 p.m. deadline will be enforced so that snow removal crews can clear the lots and decks.”
