Montclair Kimberley Academy Named a Top Private School

Through its ninth place ranking, the school received an A for academics and a B plus for diversity.

The MKA upper school is located at 6 Lloyd Road and enrolls students in grades 9 through 12. The school is structured with a 75-minute class schedule, which according to the school website, allows for “in-depth learning, and has resulted in reduced student stress and increased student achievement in grade point averages and standardized testing.”

There are a variety of courses for students interested in the arts, technology and communications to choose from.

MKA is also home to a number of varsity and junior varsity sports, many of which employ a “no-cut policy.”

MKA also has primary and middle school programs.
