MONTCLAIR, NJ — A microbrewery in Montclair has joined a statewide effort to boost COVID-19 vaccine numbers by offering people a free beer.

Earlier this week, the Montclair Brewery at 101 Walnut Street became one of the latest businesses to sign on to the state-supported "Shot and a Beer" program.

According to state officials, any New Jersey resident who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery as proof of vaccination will receive a free beer, courtesy of the participating brewery.
