MONTCLAIR, NJ — A Montclair native scored a triple Oscar victory during the 2021 Academy Awards for the film adaptation of her book, “Nomadland.”
Jessica Bruder, a Montclair native who attended Montclair Kimberly Academy, spent months residing in a camper van and documenting Americans who choose to give up their homes and live full-time on the road to gather the material for her celebrated book, “Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century.”
The project spanned three years and more than 15,000 miles of driving — from coast to coast and from Mexico to the Canadian border.
