Montclair Nonprofit Creates Playlist For Women’s History Month
Jazz House Kids hosts CHiCA Power, a music education and performance program for young women. Check out 33 songs you need to hear.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A Montclair nonprofit has gathered a list of must-listen songs in honor of Women’s History Month.
Jazz House Kids, which hosts CHiCA Power, a music education and performance program for young women, recently offered a playlist from its own instructors and guest artists. It includes more than three hours and 33 songs (check it out below).

The local nonprofit has put together other social justice-themed playlists in the past. Last month, Bruce Williams, a longtime teaching artist at Jazz House Kids, put together a 12-song Spotify list that features tracks from iconic musicians such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington and Nina Simone in honor of Black History Month.
