Montclair Obituary: Robert Chamberlin, Central Presbyterian, Historic Society Member

Montclair, NJ – Glen Ridge resident Robert Chamberlin passed away on March 31.

The following obituary comes courtesy of the Van Tassel Funeral Home:

“Robert J. Chamberlin, 96 of Glen Ridge, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 31 2016.

“Robert was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Brady Chamberlin who passed away in 1982. He was also predeceased by his mother and father, Wilbur and Elsie. Robert is survived by his two daughters Carol Chamberlin Morphy and her husband Samuel Alan Morphy, Anne Chamberlin Crawford, five grandchildren Megan, Brady, Samantha, Michael and Kelly, three great-grandchildren Stella, Samuel and Christopher.

“Robert was a long time member of Central Presbyterian Church in Montclair. He belonged to Glen Ridge, Cedar Grove and Montclair Historic Societies, Glen Ridge Seniors, Glen Ridge Golden Circle, Glen Ridge Women’s Club, Dunworkin, Wranglers, Now or Never and Montclair Society of Engineers. He was an avid traveler, photographer; he loved trains, cars and jazz. Robert will be greatly missed by all.”
