Montclair OEM Lifts State Of Emergency After Blizzard
The Montclair OEM lifted a "State of Emergency" issued after a blizzard dumped snow on the township.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — UPDATE: On Friday afternoon, the Montclair Office of Emergency Management announced that the "State of Emergency" notice issued on Thursday has been lifted. Our original article follows below.
Acting in the face of a state-wide blizzard on Thursday, the Montclair Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has declared a state of emergency, effective as of 4 p.m.
According to the Montclair OEM, non-essential travel and parking on snow-covered streets are prohibited. Cars parked on streets will be towed as per ordinance #327-25.

Municipal decks (Crescent, Bay Street and Fullerton) and lots will be open for overnight parking free of charge, the OEM stated. Read the full state of emergency declaration here.
Montclair's public schools and its school offices were closed Thursday due to the snow storm.
