Two More Burglaries In Montclair

A home and a church have been burglarized in Montclair, one on North Willow Street and the other on Wilde Place, according to Montclair Police.

The incidents follow a string of four burglaries that occurred the week of Sept. 14 on Prospect Avenue, Enfield Terrace, Greenwood Avenue, and Washington Street in Montclair.

Police say that, on Sept. 18, a burglary was reported at the Redeemer Church on North Willow Street. An employee told officers that someone had gotten into the church's garage through two windows. Taken from the garage was a video projector as well as a set of speakers valued st $700. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. DeGrazio at (973) 509-4717.

Police also say that, on Sept. 21, a burglary was reported on Wilde Place. The homeowner told officers she had left her house at about 10:30 a.m. via the front door and that, when she did, the home was locked up. When she returned at 1:45 p.m. she went through the front door and realized her back door was open. She then found that the glass window on the back door had been broken out, which allowed someone to reach in and unlock the dead bolt. Taken from the home were two MacBook Pro laptops, two Apple iPads, and an Apple TV view connector. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Singleton at (973) 509-4722.

Montclair Police Det. Lt. Angel Roman said both incidents are under investigation.
