Montclair Public Schools, Township Delay Openings

A major winter storm will cause significant black ice risk, delaying schools and government services openings by two hours

Montclair Township and Montclair Public Schools plan to delay opening by two hours on Tuesday, as a major winter storm is causing significant black ice and snow on the roads.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory warning of significant black ice on the roads and the risk of falling tree limbs. Temperatures are expected to run between six and 20 degrees in the area, with wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.

Immaculate Conception High School will delay opening until 10 a.m.
