Montclair Resident Reports ‘Suspicious’ Delivery Man To Police

A witness told police he spotted a man on the street wearing a UPS delivery uniform – but he had a FedEx package under his arm.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A “suspicious” person report may be connected to recent package thefts on Dodd Street, Montclair police said Tuesday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the resident who reported the incident on June 15 said his suspicions were aroused when he saw an unknown man on the street, wearing a UPS delivery uniform and a yellow vest.

The suspicious part? He was allegedly carrying a FedEx package under his arm, police said.
