Montclair State to Cancel Classes, Shut Campus

Media panel on Christie also postponed as area colleges cancel sessions

Montclair State University said it has canceled classes as of 1 p.m. and will shut the entire campus at 2 p.m. and remain closed all day Tuesday as a winter storm bears down on New Jersey.

Tonight’s 7:30 p.m. media panel entitled ‘Tracking Chris Christie’ has been postponed until further notice.

Caldwell University will close at 1 p.m. and remain closed on Tuesday.

Bloomfield College has cancelled all classes as of noon today and will remain closed on Tuesday.

Rutgers University Newark, as well as all other Rutgers campuses, announced an emergency closure starting at 4 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Non-essential employees are being asked to remain home, but essential employees are being asked to report to work.

New Jersey Institute of Technology, in Newark, will provide an update on evening classes by 2 p.m., but is otherwise open.
