A Montclair State University student has ice skated her way to the 2018 Winter Olympics.

A Montclair State University student is skating her way to the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Isadora Williams will be competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. She’ll also be one of the featured skaters on Jan. 28, 2018 in the Danbury Ice Arena’s “2018 Olympic Dreams Skating Show” in Connecticut.
Williams trains at Floyd Hall Arena on the campus of Montclair State University. She will represent Brazil in February at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Williams represented Brazil in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, and won five Senior International medals, including bronze at the 2012 Golden Spin of Zagreb, silver at the 2017 Volvo Open Cup and gold at the 2017 Sofia Trophy. She earned her spot on the 2018 Olympic team at last year’s Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf, Germany.
At Montclair State University, Williams is a Nutrition and Food Science major with a concentration in Dietetics.

According to MSU, she spends up to three hours on the ice five days a week – usually in the morning or early afternoon – at on-campus Floyd Hall Arena and training for an hour and a half twice a week at its gym. She also coaches at the arena on the weekends.
