Montclair Superintendent Acknowledges the Passing of Dr. Clement Price

The following message from Dr. MacCormack regarding the passing of Dr. Clement Price was sent to families on Friday, Nov. 14.

Dear Families,

Today, the City of Newark said goodbye and laid to rest one of its great activists and scholars, Dr. Clement Price.

For many of us who knew Clem, he had been an irreplaceable mentor. His kindness, his friendship and the example he provided extended far beyond Newark. Many of us in Montclair have been touched directly or indirectly by his service to our state. Most recently, Clem served as an advisor to the Montclair Public Schools Achievement Gap Advisory Panel which I formed earlier this year. Clem’s legacy remains with the great volunteers serving that panel.
