Montclair Synagogue To Host Israeli Scholar For Speaking Event

The meeting will be held in the Red Gables historic house from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Adina Newberg, an expert on contemporary Jewish liberal religion in Israel and the United States, will speak on “Religious Pluralism in Israel: the Challenge of an Internal One-State Solution” at Bnai Keshet’s Kaplan Minyan on Saturday morning, Dec. 24.

Newberg will address the challenges of reconciling and unifying the disparate religious and social groups within Israel as a problem parallel to achieving peace with Israel’s neighbors. She is an Israeli living and working in the United States and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
