Montclair Town Budget Proposed: Here’s What It Means For Taxes
The Montclair Town Council has introduced a $93.79 million municipal budget.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Town Council recently introduced a $93.79 million municipal budget. If approved, the spending plan would mean a 2.48 percent increase to the municipal portion of a local property owner's taxes (watch a video of the town’s budget presentation below).
A public hearing on the proposed budget is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4.
A town’s municipal budget makes up one part of a local homeowner’s property taxes, in addition to school and county levies.
