MONTCLAIR, NJ — Curious about the latest federal coronavirus relief package, and what it means for Montclair? Mark Wednesday, April 28 on your calendar.

Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller will host a virtual town hall on the American Rescue Plan with Essex County Commissioner Brendan Gill, Luke McGowan, senior policy advisor to the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and Zakiya Smith Ellis, chief policy advisor to Gov. Phil Murphy.

“Over the past year, we have had to face unprecedented challenges,” Spiller wrote. “The pandemic has extracted an unimaginable toll on too many Americans and further exposed the struggles of working and middle-class families.”

“Thanks to President Joe Biden, our senators and members of Congress, help is now on the way in the form of the American Rescue Plan,” Spiller continued. “The American Rescue Plan is one of the most ambitious and progressive social programs enacted into law in our lifetimes. It provides support to families and individuals, small businesses, state and local governments and much more.”
