Montclair Will Light Town Hall Amber To Remember COVID Victims
Montclair residents who want to show their solidarity can light a candle in their window or ring a bell on Tuesday evening.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair officials are asking local residents to take a moment on Tuesday evening to remember the people who have died from the coronavirus.
According to a municipal news release:
"Montclair will join fellow Americans for a national moment of remembrance for the nearly 400,000 people who succumbed to COVID-19 by illuminating the Municipal Building in amber light at 5:30 p.m. this evening. The National Commemoration for Lives Lost to COVID-19 was organized by President-elect Joe Biden’s inaugural committee. The nationwide memorial will include a lighting ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C."
