Newark Man Identified as Montclair Robbery Suspect.
Quameer Perkins, 19, from Newark has been identified as a suspect in a robbery that took place in Montclair on Nov. 7.

A 30 year-old Kearney man reported that he was the victim of an armed robbery in the area of Washington Street and Orange Road, on November 7 at 5:30 p.m. The victim explained that he believed he was meeting a Craigslist seller in order to purchase an Apple Macbook laptop.
The victim arrived on Washington Street, as arranged and remained in his vehicle. Perkins, the alleged suspect, then approached cars’ driver side window and pointed a handgun at the victim.
Perkins allegedly demanded cash and the victims cellular telephone. The victim handed over $350 cash and an Apple iPhone 5.

The alledge suspect then fled on foot towards Orange Road and was described as a black male, six foot in height, thin build, dark skin, wearing a dark blue jump suit.
Detectives have now identifying Perkins as the suspect in this robbery. He has since been charged with robbery and weapons offenses.
