Owl Prowl Hike and Presentation at Van Vleck
Come out on Friday Nov.14 and learn a little more about owls while exploring the gardens with family and friends.

The gardens at Van Vleck are no stranger to butterflies, chipmunks and rabbits, but did you know that owls have been known to stop by too? Come see these wise old creatures and learn a thing or two about how to find them lurking in your own neighborhood.
On Friday, Nov. 14 starting at 4:30 p.m., take a walk through the gardens looking for owls. Van Vleck has been a nesting site for owls in the past. Perhaps this year, they will return? On the walk, you will learn how to identify signs of owl activity and learn some basic knowledge about our nocturnal neighbors.
Following the hike at 5:15 p.m., stick around to meet two live owls from Flat Rock Brook Nature Center. Discover which owls live right here in NJ. Learn about the special features and characteristics these amazing creatures have that help them survive.
