Pray For Political Victory In Essex County: 2020 Election Event
When it comes to the election, it can't hurt to say a little prayer. After all – it worked for the NY Mets, an Essex County Republican says.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — When it comes to the 2020 election, it can’t hurt to say a little prayer. After all, it recently worked for the New York Mets, according to Maureen Edelson.
As a historic election season nears an end, Edelson, a member of the Essex County NJ Republican Women and its sibling group, the Essex County NJ Deplorable Women, is inviting the community to take part in a virtual “pulpit and prayer gathering” on Election Day.
The event will take place via Zoom at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Register online here.

Edelson said that participants will be praying to “tilt the universe toward a return to sociable, liberty-based, constitutional society” during and after the election.
“In this region, many individuals and families are in a foxhole of uncertainty and restraint of our most basic freedoms,” Edelson said. “Invoking a higher power or greater good karma ‘can't hurt,’ as my spiritual mentor has said, in returning to a healthy New York metro area, a healthy America and greater personal well-being.”

For those who doubt the power of prayer, Edelson has a reply: the 2015 New York Mets.
Edelson said she launched her “Pray4Mets” campaign on the opening day of the Mets’ 20215 season, when many people were doubting the chances of the club that year. The Mets eventually finished the regular season with a record of 90–72, winning the National League East title and making it to the World Series.
“In 2015, we had 25 people from Los Angeles to London praying for the Mets,” Edelson said. “If our small group could be that effective in baseball, there's no underestimating what effect private and public prayer can have in this season.”
