This Halloween season, thousands of New Jersey residents will flock to local haunted houses for a scary holiday thrill.

But how many of those thrill-seekers realize that there may be several real-life “haunted houses” located in their neighborhoods?

Recently, real estate information provider RealtyTrac released a report of “America’s Most Haunted,” which included data for vacant houses with a deceased homeowner.

More than 22,000 single-family homes in America currently fit the above criteria, according to RealtyTrac.
