Report Of A Male With A Handgun

This just in from Lt. Scott Buehler at the Montclair Police Department:

Just after midnight Wednesday morning, July 14, police were dispatched to the area of Grove Street on a report of a male with a handgun. Upon searching the surrounding area, police observed a male who, upon seeing the officers, placed his hands in the air. The male, who appeared intoxicated, began to berate and shout at the officers on scene. The male, identified as Rodney Jackson, 41, of Montclair, was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct. He was later released. The report of the male with a handgun was deemed unfounded.
