School Daze, School Daze ... Dear Old Golden Rule Days
Here's some photos from the first day at schools across Montclair. We'll be adding to these.
School started on Monday with lots of new faces, some tears, and a heap of excitement for most.
After school, kids expressed a wide range of sentiments.
Paolo Federico-O'Murchu, 13, an eighth grader at Glenfield Middle School, said: "They have all these new clubs this year! I want to join the after school debate club on Tuesdays, the football club on Wednesdays, and the Film & Fiction Club on Thursdays. We have TONS of homework!"

Deryn Mierlak, 12, a seventh grader at Mount Hebron Middle School, said: "I liked my new Spanish teacher. I was glad to see old teachers and old friends. I feel a little more respected this year. I feel like I know more now that I've already been there a whole year."
Olivia Norvell, 10, a fifth grader at Charles H. Bullock Elementary School, said: "The teachers are really nice. Each Friday, we're going to take turns having lunch with the teacher in small groups. She likes to bake and we get to eat a bunch of her desserts."
