Storm dumps up to six inches in Montclair area
National Weather Service warns of icy roads as temperatures expected to drop Saturday night, followed by possible nor'easter Monday night

Winter storm Iola blanketed Montclair and surrounding towns with up to six inches of snow, as the National Weather Service warned of potential black ice conditions as temperatures are expected to drop into the 20’s overnight.
Snow accumulations reached up to 6 inches in Cedar Grove, with 5.6 inches reported in Bloomfield and 5.1 reported at Newark Liberty International Airport.
NJ Transit was reporting minor bus delays Saturday morning due to weather conditions and rail tickets across the system were being cross honored. De Camp Bus Lines said it was operating a normal Saturday schedule. A dispatcher said that buses were operating with no delays.

The Montclair Police Department advised residents to follow regulations that ban parking on public streets to facilitate snow removal, as well as parking a vehicle that extends into the roadway.
Parking permit holders are encouraged to park at municipal lots and hourly fees at those lots and the Fullerton Parking Deck, next to the Park Street YMCA, will be waived as snow totals exceeded two inches.

Montclair Township said that Recreational Department activities would be cancelled for today.
