Tutu Spoiled Throws Birthday Party to Raise Funds for Childhood Cancer Research

Tutu Spoiled celebrated Natalie Grace's 5th Birthday by helping her "KICK CHILDHOOD CANCER'S BUTT!"

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness and on Sunday, September 14, Tutu Spoiled threw a birthday celebration fit for a princess! Natalie Grace Gorsenger, her sister Hannah, and 50 little princesses were in attendance. Cupcakes, glitter tatoos, and squeals of laughter filled the air of Montclair Center when every girl’s favorite sisters, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arrendale paid a birthday visit! Local artist, Daniel Fennelon, was on hand as well with the Montclair Art Museum’s MAM ART TRUCK helping these little princesses build a dragon!

Jessica Snarski, owner of Tutu Spoiled, is committed to helping Natalie Grace get her 5th birthday wish.

“On behalf of Tutu Spoiled I would like to thank all who participated in making the event a huge success. We are always willing to help the community in any way we can and nothing pleases us more than to see a smile on all the childrens faces. Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”

Proceeds from the sale of the birthday party tickets were donated toward Natalie Grace’s Birthday Goal of reaching $150,000 for the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation (awoccf.org) and the funding of childhood cancer research. Tutu Spoiled will also be contributing a portion of sales from both locations through the end of September.

Local businesses were ecstatic to participate in Natalie’s Birthday Party. Everything including the festive cake, the decorations, and the surprises for the goodie bags was donated. Portraits by Michael Stahl was on hand for stately portraits of all the princesses. Jarmila Packard and Luther Flurry, owners of 18-30 South Fullerton, “were delighted to donate use of their available store for such a good cause.”

Natalie’s Mom, Andrea, is proud of the funds raised to date, but so much more is needed:

”Every, single penny that we’ve raised via Natalie’s Facebook page has gone directly to research. Last year we were able to help fund 6 different childhood cancer trials, and until there’s a cure, these trials are what’s often times keeping our children in the fight! The more people step up to help us, the better chance these kids have of survival down the line.”
