“Vine & Veg”, Montclair’s First Vegan Wine & Food Pairing Event

Wendy Renshaw, owner of Montclair-based Leafy Kitchen, will present and host “Vine & Veg” at Java Love, 49 Church Street, on Thursday, 2/28 from 7 to 9:00 PM. The casual and fun tasting will feature an assortment of red vegan wines and hearty small plate dishes.

“Vegan wines are primarily organic and have much fewer additives than conventional wines,” says Wendy, whose plant-based recipes have been featured in Vegan Street and Vegan Magazine. “The result is a palate pleasing experience that causes less allergic reactions and headaches than what would normally be experienced with non-vegan wines.”

Each attendee at the “Vine & Veg” event will be served the following:

  • Four pourings of vegan red wines (two domestic and two European).
  • Four servings of small plate, plant-based entrees.
  • A dark chocolate truffle dessert.

The vegan wines that will be served at “Vine & Veg” don't contain any fining agents that are derived from animal products, and will be supplied by Amanti Vino.

Tickets for “Vine & Veg” are $85 per person and registration will close on February 24. Space is limited. For more information, contact Wendy.
