We launched this new occasional feature several months ago by focusing on the vacant spot at 622 Valley Road in Upper Montclair, the former home of Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
This week, we're asking what you think should move into the space at 38 Upper Montclair Plaza previously occupied by Little Phil's Artisanal Delicatessen. The just one year after opening. From all indications, Little Phil's had been a popular deli usually packed with people, successfully occupying the space that formerly housed Tallmadge Cheese Market.Â

But now there's a "For Rent" sign in the window and another sign advertising the spot as "Prime Retail Space." As a result, there are two sites that need to be filled in Upper Montclair Plaza—Little Phil's and also the former Charlie Brown's Steakhouse location.
So what should go into the space? A restaurant? A retail store? A cheese shop? Another deli?
