What's Open and What's Not?

Here's a look at the hours at various places around Montclair during the holiday weekend.

It's sometimes hard to know what's open and what's not on a holiday like July 4th. Here's a Patch guide to help you out.

The town pools are open from noon to 7 p.m. both July 4th and July 5th. Kings is open until 8 p.m. on July 4th and will open regular business hours on July 5th. CVS is open regular business hours on both July 4th and July 5th.

Montclair Township offices will be closed Monday, July 5th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Refuse/Recycling collection is suspended.

NJ Transit is adding trains for the holiday weekend. On July 4th, trains will operate on a holiday schedule on all lines while bus schedules will vary. For more information and to check out schedules go here.

-- The Montclair YMCA will be closed on July 4th but will open regular business hours on July 5th.

-- The Montclair Char-Broil Diner in Upper Montclair will be open until 2:30 p.m. on July 4th and from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on July 5th.

-- Watchung Booksellers is closed on both July 4th and July 5th.
