28 Kids Make Bowls For Moorestown FEP Empty Bowl Dinner
David Gamber and his son lead the recent workshop at the Moorestown Friends Meetinghouse.
MOORESTOWN, NJ - A total of 28 people with ties to the Friends Enrichment Program of Moorestown Meeting (FEP), participated in the FEP annual pottery workshop in the art studio of Moorestown Friends School, under the leadership of ceramic teacher David Gamber
Assisted by his son and Moorestown Friends School senior Elijah Gamber, Gamber dug into clay with hands and fingers and went on to demonstrate how the malleability of this earthly material lends itself to the creation of all kinds of objects, some utilitarian, others purely decorative.
Before long, participants began making bowls that, when finished, were as unique as their creators. Among the participants were six adults, all digging into the clay with as much enthusiasm as the kids.
