Community Mourns Moorestown Rotarian Past President Bill Chesner

Dr. William Anthony Chesner, Jr., "Bill" was a loving husband and devoted father.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Dr. William Anthony Chesner, Jr., “Bill” was a loving husband and devoted father. Predeceased by his wife Judith Ann of 26 years and his brother Robert. Survived by his wife Betty of 25 years, sons Bill (Trace), Pete (Sara), Chris (Maria) and Brian Schmidt (Susan), sister Kathleen Barkasy (Michael), sister-in-law Muriel “Honey” Chesner, grandchildren Will, Connor, Bronwyn, Casey, Sophia, Chris, Giuliana, Carter, Ernest, James, Alexandra, Estelle, Jude and several nieces and nephews.

Bill practiced dentistry for 48 years in Fort Hood, TX and South Jersey. He was a Captain in the Army, a lifelong Rotarian as Past President of PRC before joining Moorestown Breakfast Club. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School, Georgetown University and Trenton Catholic High School where he was a member of the varsity football team.

Through the years he was a dedicated baseball coach for his children. Bill enjoyed golf, skiing and the beach. He had a very happy retirement spending time between Mt. Laurel and Surf City. Bill enjoyed a full and happy life. He gave his family his all every day. He is forever loved and will always be missed.

Due to the present COVID-19 restriction, a funeral mass will be held virtually at 10:30 a.m. on Monday Jan. 25 at Live Stream — Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish (olgcnj.org).

In person attendance is for family by invitation only.

Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton, NJ
