Democrats Holding On To Lead In Moorestown Council Race
The Burlington County Board of Elections updated vote totals as counting continues in the 2020 elections.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — About 400 votes separate the leading Republican and the third-place Democrat in the Moorestown Council races as the Burlington County Board of Elections continues to count votes from last week’s election.
Sue Mammarella held her lead in the race for three open seats on Moorestown Council with 6,854 votes, according to unofficial numbers posted on the Burlington County Board of Elections website Monday night.
Dave Zipin was second with 6,764 votes, followed by Jake Van Dyken with 6,585 votes, as the three Democrats held on to the top three spots.

Republican Vick Bobadilla was fourth with 6,187 votes, 398 votes behind Van Dyken. Doug Maute, was next with 6,004 votes, followed by Barbara Omert with 5,955 votes.

Lauren Romano remains in first place in the six-person race for three open seats on the Moorestown Board of Education, with 6,722 votes. Mick Weeks remained second with 6,267, followed by Jack Fairchild with 4,974.
Sarah Rivera had 4,516 votes, followed by Julie Woodrow with 3,982 and Val Gallagher with 3,322.
A total of 38,363 residents voted in the Moorestown Council race, and 29,945 residents cast their ballots in the Board of Education race.
As of Monday night, the Burlington County Board of Elections had counted 247,696 of the 253,100 vote-by-mail ballots that had been received. There is no update on the provisional ballots that were cast in the election.
