Exotic Australian Birds Subject Of Program At Moorestown Library
Residents can learn about bower birds on Sept. 15.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The bower birds of the rain forests of Australia and nearby islands will be the object of a special program of activities in the children’s department of the Moorestown Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2 p.m.
In this program, the Friends Enrichment Program (FEP) of Moorestown Meeting offers school-age children from kindergarten through sixth grade the chance to learn about these uniquely talented artists of the bird world and to broaden their appreciation of wildlife and their understanding of humans’ responsibility as protectors of the environment.
Children will create the kind of objects bower birds are able to find in the wilderness or to steal from each other or from people who live or work nearby in a special art project. Participation in the bower bird program is limited to a total of 20 children and all participating children must be registered.
