Free Rabies Clinic In Moorestown Jan. 18
Dog owners must get rabies vaccinations before they can procure licenses.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown will host a free rabies clinic sponsored by the State of New Jersey next month. It will take place on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at the Public Works Garage in Moorestown, 9 a.m. to noon. Rain date is Jan. 25.
Under township and state law, anyone who owns, keeping or harboring a dog of licensing age (7 months or older) or which possess a set of permanent teeth must annually procure a license and official metal tag for each dog owned from the Municipal Clerk's Office.
To get a license, the owner's pets must get rabies vaccinations. The owner must supply a certificate, signed by a licensed veterinarian, that shows the vaccination is good for at least the first 10 months of the 12 month licensing period.

Residents may obtain a 2020 license by mail (preferred) or in person at the Municipal Clerk’s
Office at Town Hall, 111 West Second Street. Proof of rabies inoculation (valid through October 2020), proof of spaying/neutering, if applicable, and a check for the appropriate amount, made payable to Moorestown Township, must accompany the application.
Residents must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if applying by mail. Dog license renewal applications and payment must be postmarked by Jan. 31. Renewals received that are not postmarked by Jan. 31 will incur a late fee for each license.
