MFS Boys, Girls Soccer Teams Win Season Openers

Both teams won their season opener, 2-1, on Tuesday, according to nj.com.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Friends School boys and girls soccer teams launched their seasons on winning notes on Tuesday.

The Moorestown Friends Schoolboys soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 win over Princeton Day on Sept. 3, nj.com reports. Princeton Day scored first, but Matt D’Ottavi scored a pair of goals to lead Moorestown Friends to the win. Goalie Mikey Poznokas made 13 saves.

The Moorestown Friends School girls soccer team also opened the season with a 2-1 win, over Sterling, according to nj.com. Sterling held a 1-0 lead at halftime, but Moorestown Friends came back behind goals from Bella Runyan and Angelica Larluz. Elizabeth Carter made six saves in goal.
