Moorestown Baseball, Softball Teams Win On Opening Day

The Moorestown High School baseball and softball teams each picked up Opening Day victories.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - Both the baseball and softball teams at Moorestown High School picked up wins in their first outing of the season.

Adam Shubert didn’t allow a run, struck out seven batters and allowed two hits to lead the Moorestown High School baseball team to a win on Opening Day, according to nj.com.

Nick Yedman was 1-for-2 with an RBI in Moorestown’s 3-1 win over Bordentown. Joey Morrisey was 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

The Moorestown High School softball team also got off to a fast start with a 6-0 win over Westampton Tech, according to nj.com. Elysa Bohr struck out 12 batters in the win. Erika Heffernen was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.
