Moorestown Basketball Teams Set For Playoffs

The Moorestown High School boys have home court advantage throughout the playoffs, and the Moorestown Friends girls will host a home game.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The boys and girls basketball teams at Moorestown High School and Moorestown Friends School are all set for playoff appearances next week. The Moorestown Friends girls will host a home playoff game, and the Moorestown boys will have home court advantage throughout their playoff run.

The Moorestown High School boys basketball team is the No. 1 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com. They will host No. 16 Toms River South in the first round on March 2, 7 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 8 Delsea and No. 9 Seneca in the second round on March 4. The semifinals are March 6, and the championship game is scheduled for March 9.

Moorestown is 23-2 this season.The players told Fox 29 earlier this season that they are inspired by an autistic 12-year-old seventh grader who is working as the team’s DJ. Blake Rouen pumps the players up and honors their song requests.

The Moorestown Friends School girls basketball team is the No. 4 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Non-Public B playoffs, according to nj.com. They will host No. 13 Holy Spirit in the first round on March 3, 4 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 5 Gloucester Catholic and No. 12 Roselle Catholic in the second round on March 5. The semifinals are March 7, and the championship game is March 11.

The Moorestown girls and Moorestown Friends boys are the No. 15 seeds in their respective playoff brackets.

The Moorestown girls are No. 15 in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs and will visit No. 2 Ocean City in the first round on March 2, 5:30 p.m. The winner will play either No. 7 Cherry Hill West or No. 10 Seneca in the second round. Moorestown is 6-18 this season.

The Moorestown Friends boys are No. 15 in theNJSIAA South Jersey Non-Public B playoffs and will visit No. 2 Wildwood Catholic in the first round on March 3, 7 p.m. The winner will play either No. 7 Holy Spirit or No. 10 Timothy Christian in the second round. Moorestown Friends is 4-17 this season.
